What’s New 2018 Vol2: Angular 6, Vue & More

Syncfusions next-generation JavaScript UI components (Essential JS 2) are maturing in every release. Essential Studio Volume 2018 Volume 2 is one of the milestone releases for Essential JS 2-based platforms. In this blog, Id like to provide a summary of the new controls and important features of this release. Major highlights are:

New components

In this release, we have shipped components with high numbers of customer requests, such as diagram, rich text box, pivot grid, and range navigator. Also, we have included components essential for modern application development, such as avatar, badge, toast, and sparkline. Here is the complete list:

Angular 6 support

Angular 6 is already out and it came with major improvements on its toolchain and initial user experience. Essential JS 2 for Angular UI components now support Angular 6 and improvements are now applicable to Essential JS 2.

Introduction of Essential JS 2 for Vue

Essential JS 2 now supports Vue.js natively through built-in wrappers. All the Vue UI components have full support for data binding, state management, and native template engine support.

Essential JS 2 for ASP.NET Core and ASP.NET MVC are now final

Both of our server wrappers for ASP.NET Core and ASP.NET MVC are now marked as final. This release also includes additional features such as data annotation support, extended tags in tag helper, extended fluent builder functions in HTML helper, and project templates for both `dotnet new` command and Visual Studio.

Theme studio

A new, web-based tool for customizing themes has been introduced. It includes support to selectively customize the primary and secondary colors of our existing themes for all Essential JS 2 components and download the customized CSS files. The full introduction is available in the following blog:
