Sneak Peek at 2019 Volume 3 Beta: WinForms & WPF

Syncfusion is getting closer to another exciting release this year with some cool and useful new controls and features. The beta release of 2019 Volume 3 is expected to be available on or before September 18, 2019. In this blog, I am going to give you a quick overview of the new controls and features you can expect in the WPF and WinForms platforms for this release.

WPF

New Linear and Circular Progress Bar Controls

New Linear Progress Bar and Circular Progress Bar controls are expected to be available in this release. These controls provide a customizable visual that indicates the progress of a task. New Image Editor (Preview)

You can expect a new control for editing images that includes the following features:

  • Annotate with text
  • Annotate with image
  • Crop image
  • Rotate image
  • Flip image
  • Built-in toolbar

Toolbox installation from NuGet: WPF

With the previous release, Syncfusion WPF controls support the .NET Core 3.0 Framework. You can try using our .NET Core NuGet packages available at nuget.syncfusion.com.

With our 2019 Volume 3 beta release, you can expect the Visual Studio toolbox to be configured for NuGet. This will let you access our controls from the Visual Studio toolbox after installing our corresponding NuGet packages. Check-box selector column in DataGrid

With this release, you will be able to select multiple rows with a check-box selector column in the DataGrid. This feature is in addition to the classic approach of holding Ctrl and clicking to select multiple rows. Ribbon improvements

PDF Viewer comes with sticky note and shape annotations

AutoComplete

CheckedListBox

Performance improvement in ComboBox

The performance of the ComboBox control is expected to be improved to be approximately 20 times faster in opening and scrolling items in the drop-down list.

Diagram

Windows Forms

Automatically update images based on DPI

You can expect support to configure images with different DPI scaling while designing your application. This helps the application automatically upgrade or downgrade images as needed when running on different machines with different DPI scaling.Updating Images Based on DPI

ComboBox token support

You can expect support to display selected items in the ComboBox control as tokens in an input field. This provides a clear separation between each item, and also makes it easy to clear the selection of an item by clicking its Close button.ComboBox with Token Support
