Essential Studio 2016 Volume 4 Released

Syncfusion is happy to announce that we have an early holiday present for you: Essential Studio 2016 Volume 4. New controls and features abound in our last release of the year, as well as improvements you’ve been requesting, to make your new year of development that much better. For a detailed look at all of the Volume 4 release’s new additions, see our What’s New page. Here are some of the highlights we’re most excited about.

Starting with JavaScript, a new date range picker allows users to select start and end dates from two inline calendars to create a range. Users can choose from predefined ranges, such as a week, or pick their custom end date. The PDF viewer in JavaScript now has a form-filling feature, and the tree grid control allows for column reordering.

Also new is Syncfusion’s JSP server-side wrapper. Over 40 of Syncfusion’s JavaScript UI components are available to build dynamic JSP webpages.

For all our WPF and UWP developers, let our brand new sunburst chart control shed some light on your hierarchical data. We’ve also added z-axis support to charts for both platforms, and a tree grid control for WPF.

As always, Xamarin’s offerings received a boost with this release. Xamarin.Forms has a new list view control to render lists of items that can then be grouped, sorted, and filtered. All three Xamarin platforms are adding a PDF viewer control to navigate seamlessly through PDF files on Xamarin applications, and all three have also improved their Excel filters and data grid features.

Current Syncfusion users can download their holiday treats by logging into their Direct-Trac accounts. For those of you still considering whether Syncfusion’s components are a fit for you or your company, we welcome you to take advantage of our 30-day free trial to try out our controls and enterprise solutions, including the Syncfusion Big Data, Dashboard, Data Integration, and Report Platforms. All the Volume 4 controls and features will also be available for the trial. And when you realize what a great gift our tools are for yourself and your development team, take a look at our Flat-Fee License for the unlimited use of them, starting at $3,995 a year.

Have you already downloaded our new release? Let us know what your favorite new addition is in the comments below, or on Twitter or Facebook! In the meantime, happy holidays and happy developing!
